This Data Policy applies to certain information, as defined below, that BESING TECHNOLOGY (HK) CO., LIMITED, and its affiliated companies (hereinafter refer to as "Baseus", "We”, “Our" or "Us") collects, uses, discloses, processes, and protects any personal information that you give us or that we collect from you, when you use our products and services on the application (APP) (the "Services"). Please thoroughly read and understand our Data Policy and let us know if you have any questions.
In order to provide our services to you, we will ask you to: Provide personal information that is necessary to provide those services to you. We will only collect the information that is necessary for its specified, concrete, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is inconsistent with those purposes. You have the right to choose whether or not to provide the information we have requested, but in most cases, if you do not provide your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to your request. Depending on the service you choose, we may collect the following types of information:
a) Your account information: You provide your email address, or log in for a third-party account (such as Facebook, Google and etc.) to create an online or application account ("Account").
c) Cloud storage services information: When you subscribe to the cloud storage services, we may provide you with cloud storage where you can sync and back up your data.
d) Protection plan services information: When you subscribe to the protection plan services, you provide your personal data (your name, phone number, devices, address, emergency contact) to implement the first responder dispatch service.
e) Customer support: When you contact us, you may be required to provide us with information about your use of the Services, including information about the Baseus electronics and/or consumer products ("Products") that you own (phone number, email address, shipping address), order/invoice details) and voice recording (if you contact us by phone), so that we can provide customer assistance.
f) Mobile location data: When you log in on Baseus APP for the first time, you'll be asked to grant permission on location data from your mobile device. If you grant this permission, the Baseus APP will know which region you are located and will automatically connect to the corresponding server in your region. When you add devices in the Baseus APP, you'll be asked to grand permission on location data from your mobile device. For an Android APP, it requires the location permission to get the Wi-Fi list from the mobile phone for adding devices. For an iOS application, it requires the location permission to get the Local Network permission which can make the Baseus devices work in WLAN/LAN. You may choose to enable the Geofencing feature. If you do this, you'll be asked for permission to share location data from your mobile device. If you grant this permission, the Baseus APP will use standard location services built into iOS and Android. This data will help Baseus APP to know that your device is off the restricted distance range in order to activate the Anti-lost Alert automatically. You can also enable the DO NOT DISTURB feature to deactivate the Anti-lost Alert.
a) Product monitoring: We collect information about how you configurate and use our Products, such as: functions used; operations performed; time, frequency, and duration of your activities within the Services, and any unique identifiers associated with your Product. For example, we collect the period of time you connected the Product to the Application and the time of the last connection, as well as what operations you used in the Account, settings, and other functions of our Products.
b) Device properties & operations: We collect certain information from and about your smartphone, tablet, or personal computer (“Device"), such as: Device model, hardware and software version, signal intensity, IP address, and other information. We also collect information about the operations you perform on the Device, such as time, frequency, and duration of use.
c) Device signals: We collect information that your Device sends out or receives to tailor the Services to our users in different regions, such as: geo-location, IP address, and external hardware information from your Device about surrounding Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
d) Server logs: A server log is a list of the activities that a server performs. Baseus APP automatically collect and store in server logs certain information, such as: your searching record, IP address, hardware settings, browser type, referral URL, and certain cookies that identify your browser or Account.
When permitted by law, we will collect information about you from third-party sources. For instance,
a) We collect and use information obtained from Facebook, Google, Amazon, and other accounts you use to login to the Services ("Third-Party Accounts”), such as: your name, your user-name or handle, birth date, picture, and other details you may have on your Third-Party Account profile. We do not have access to your Third-Party Account passwords.
b) For certain services that might include account and financial transactions, with your authorization, we may validate the information provided by you (such as phone number) through legitimate third-party sources for security and fraud prevention purposes;
c) We may receive designated identifier symbols (such as IMEI from an advertiser) to provide advertising services to you;
d) Information about you that others provided to us (e.g., your delivery address that other user’s may provide to us when they buy products for you via Baseus App).
Non-identifiable data refers to data that cannot be used to identify an individual. Examples of non-identifiable data include statistical data generated when you use a specific service (e.g. daily usage events, page access events, page access time events and session events). We will collect statistics information to understand how users use our products and services. By doing so, we can improve our services to better meet your requirements.
The purpose of collecting personal information is to provide you with products and/or services, and to ensure that we comply with applicable laws, regulations and other regulatory requirements.
This involves: Creating and maintaining your Baseus account: Personal information collected when you create a Baseus account on our websites or through mobile application, is used to create the personal Baseus account and profile page.
We may use your email address to provide you with our latest products or services and conduct other marketing-related activities. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not be able to use the Services properly.
